“We had the opportunity to meet a group from America as part of an exchange programme, we showed the Americans around London and Parliament and had a good chat about how differently things work between the UK and America.
We also went to the Common Wealth Street Games Camp because it looked like an amazing opportunity to improve our skills.
Seeing the parliament building was an eye-opener to see how decisions are made in the UK. I really enjoyed looking around and hearing about the history of the building and talking to the tour guide. Also, going to the theatre to watch Grease was also an amazing experience, it was a great atmosphere and I got to spend time with my friends. It was great seeing the Onside ambassadors again!
The camp at street games has been incredible. I met a new group of people called the young advisors who I got on with really well, I also met lots of young people who I did some activities with and got to know. The trip to the commonwealth games was great, we watched cricket and boxing. The evening activities were my favourite because although we were all really tired we ran really fun games, I most enjoyed the campfire because everyone got involved in some way.”
