Although she had early years qualifications, returning to employment was challenging, and the lack of opportunities began to affect her confidence. Through the P2E programme, Alisha received tailored support to rebuild her confidence, update her CV, and prepare for interviews. A key part of her experience was visiting local employers, including Calisen, where she gained insight into different roles and working environments. These visits helped make career opportunities feel more real and achievable. After initially engaging in life skills support at Bramber Court Mother and Baby Unit, Alisha began exploring new career paths beyond her previous work as a cleaner, with a focus on stability and progression. With the support and encouragement of the programme, Alisha successfully secured a place on a female-only engineering apprenticeship with Calisen. This marks a significant step forward, helping her build a stable and positive future for herself and her son.
