Big Day Out: Jaguar Jeff and Cedric Kipre

The Wigan Youth Zone team enjoys the Sunshine at the Wigan Athletic Big Day Out at DW Stadium

On Monday 22nd April, Wigan Youth Zone took over the family areas of the DW Stadium for their Big Day Out welcoming families and young people to have a taste of WYZ activities out in the community. The second of its kind, the event was held in collaboration with Wigan Athletic Community Trust to bring fun free activities to the stadium prior to kick off of the Latics match against Preston North End.

WYZ staff were offering a host of family fun before the match to all young people including free face paints, trampoline and tennis sessions, inflatables, wacky sports, circus skills and more. Hundreds of families attended the event prior to the big match which saw Wigan Athletic secure their Championship survival this season.

The WYZ team also welcomed a visit from Wigan Athletic player Cedric Kipre prior to the match, the French defender came down to the Youth Zone’s family area to meet young fans and pose for a picture with the WYZ mascot, Jaguar Jeff.
