October Half Term Holiday Club

It’s fantastic news that we have been given the green light to run our holiday club programme over the October Half Term.  You will need to be aware of the following booking allowance that you will be able to book and any changes that have been made to our booking system.

Join us this October Half term for an adventure like no other, sign up to one of our 3 groups and explore the youth zone with a different adventure each day!

Holiday club will run from 8am-3:30pm daily and cost £12 per day which includes lunch, (half days are currently not available) the following bookings in bubble groups are available, and can be blocked booked for the full week:- (payment arrangements can be made please discuss this at the time of booking)

Bubble 3 – 8:15am – 3:15pm

This is a football, sports and fitness only group based in sports hall and pitches 1 and 2 they will do football, sports games and fitness in the gym

Strick drop off times are due to the current restrictions. If you miss your time slot allocated, you will need to bring your child after 9am this is to eliminate cross over of groups, early pick up is allowed before 3pm, after this only collect your child at allocated time slot given.

Places are limited so booking is essential, and you can only book for one bubble per week, your child will stay within the booked bubble group throughout the day/week and move round the youth zone in an activity style carousel, ensuring their safety and a variety of activities on offer, along with ensuring the cleaning of rooms and equipment used. Please note that every effort has been made to offer exciting and fun-filled programs of activities but what your child is used to with the free flow around the youth zone will not be allowed and your child will need to know they are to stay within the group they are booked in for.

If your child would like to be in a bubble group with their friend you will need to all book at the same time to try and guarantee this, this is subject to our availability but we will try to accommodate this where possible and if space is available. Please note once booked, we can not swap and change bubble groups.

Payment can be made by card and arrangements for you to do this will be discussed with you when you book. If you wish to pay by cash please discuss this with me at the time of booking for arrangements to be made.

Further information and guidance along with consent forms will need to be completed before your child comes to holiday club this will be given to you at time of booking and will be sent by email please can you make sure you are able to provide an email address for us to complete this and please ensure that you read all the guidance and agree to this before your child attends.

We hope that you will understand the changes we have made and appreciate that we are trying to support as many families as we can under the current circumstances and run a provision over the October half term, therefore appreciate that this is a different offer to what we have been able to provide in the past and we understand you may have some questions.

For now stay safe, stay well and let me know how we can help.

The holiday club is open to all 8 – 11 year-old members (inclusive or year 7s) of the Youth Zone. If you’re not already a member of Wigan Youth Zone, you can book online. Go to the become a member page.
